Do This! In Pursuit of Happiness???

(Based on the essay “In Pursuit of Happiness???” posted on February 22, 2011.)

Who is the happiest person you know? What do you think makes them so happy?

What is your personal definition of happiness?

Expand on this:

Researcher state that we each have our own “happiness wheel.” We have a fixed happiness set point that is inherited from our parents and accounts for fifty percent of our happiness (or lack thereof).  Ten percent of our happiness is determined by our life circumstances such as age, ethnicity, gender, geographical factors, personal history, and wealth. The last forty percent of each individual’s happiness circle is determined by “intentional activity,” or in other words, “actions or practices that people can choose to do.”

How would you describe your “fixed happiness level” inherited from your parents?

How happy do your life circumstances make you?

What activities do you participate in that help increase your happiness?

Overall, how complete is your happiness wheel?
